Mitsubishi ASX (10 - present)

Competing in a segment that includes household names like the Nissan Qashqai is never easy, and the Mitsubishi ASX is one of those cars that can sometimes slip under the radar. Which is a real shame because when you take the time to have a closer look, you’ll find that it’s actually one of the best value crossovers on the market. It’s also spacious and well-built, with a huge amount of kit as standard. The engines on offer perform well both on the road and when it comes to fuel economy. When you throw the class-leading eight year warranty into the mix, on top of an already solid reputation for reliability – what you’re left with is a very compelling package. It may not be the obvious choice but is certainly worth a test drive.
