Volkswagen Golf (09 - 12)

Volkswagen are experts in evolution rather than revolution when it comes to improving their cars. And they have done exactly that with this Golf. This is noticeably better than before and shows the benefit of many detailed changes. It is still unmistakably a Golf, but there were some tweaks made to its shape and size to give it a more contemporary look. It certainly maintains the style that appeals to drivers of all ages. There is no doubt it will continue to sell well in the new and used market. Inside, the car is well put together, refined, spacious and comfortable with enough room to fit five and a decent boot for storage. The centre console is neatly laid out while everything inside is user-friendly and uncomplicated. And there is a generous level of standard spec and safety elements. On the road, just like its predecessor, it’s a joy to drive and is a doddle to manoeuvre. Handling is excellent, the steering is sharp and decisive, and the grip on corners is particularly good.
